| I was paying through Armslist checking out prices on SP-1's and I came across an ad for a "pre-ban" 1980 SP1. It said that the barrel was stamped "C P 5.56 Chrome Lined". Did SP-1's have 5.56 stamped barrels? I had an SP-1 several years ago, unfortunately it was stolen, but I am almost positive it wasn't stamped 5.56 anywhere. Maybe they did it on later models? |

I think that started with the twist change after 1:12. i also don't think they marked the barrel with the word chrome after the SP1 timeframe either. |

So it's probably a very late model SP1 and the 5.56 stamp is authentic? |

Can you find out what the twist is? |

Anyone know what year they started stamping "5.56" on the barrels? |
