I have the exact same gun. (goes to check safe)
They are one of my favorite designs. Unfortunately the construction isn't the best. The hammer is an AR style, but the head on it is wider, and thus heavier. You can probably get an AR15 extractor to work, or just call Masterpiece Arms. They make a modern version. |

What vintage are these? AAA that is. Guessing 80's ? Forgot to add, Rix, you post some of the best non AR15 retros. Awesome. According to this link http://id.gun.fm/firearms.php?id=273 1986 to 1993 when the Assault Weapons Ban went into affect. 700 imported They call it the "Tasmanian Devil" |

Rick - thanks for posting these pics - I've never seen the pistol version except in pics, just the carbine version. Frankly, I haven't heard much good about them, but they were never developed the way the AR15 was, which as we know had it's share of teething problems. It's a fascinating design, and the dual recoil bars always seemed like genius to me. A beautifully compact package. You lucky bastard - great find! |

Now I just need to find a butt stock. http://pics.usedguns.com.au/pics/050571-2013-09-23_09-02-35-AM.jpg A piece of delrin some time on the band saw and mill you could make one up or a VZ58 folder... Or make up a wood folder and a set of wood hand guards that would look cool... AAA pistols beg to be turned into a SBR... Have fun with your project... |

D&D Sales has a modified Choate stock that can be adapted to work.
I have two of the hook style ones w/o the metal hardware. Scroll down to part# 63 http://www.danddsales.com/2.Individualparts_2.html The other option is to find one of the old Vepr stocks and mod it. |

Daydreaming while surrounded by gun parts can sometimes lead to unexpected results. This time i noticed the lower off my Vulcan V18 sitting on the shelf and an idea popped into my head. <a href="http://s576.photobucket.com/user/BigRix/media/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/67F7BC8F-D49F-411F-BCBA-045ABBFA0BDE_zpsc4w4ap3p.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss208/BigRix/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/67F7BC8F-D49F-411F-BCBA-045ABBFA0BDE_zpsc4w4ap3p.jpg</a> <a href="http://s576.photobucket.com/user/BigRix/media/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/0004E447-2477-4FDD-A7A8-3097A6CB82C1_zps7glxldea.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss208/BigRix/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/0004E447-2477-4FDD-A7A8-3097A6CB82C1_zps7glxldea.jpg</a> If I make a new part to attach to the receiver I think I can make this work. Only hitch in my plan is the locking mechanism was missing when I bought it. I have no idea what pos buttstock Vulcan used and adapted to that gun. Any idea what this was originally made to fit? <a href="http://s576.photobucket.com/user/BigRix/media/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/DCEFECD5-01B9-4620-8DE0-19D994755030_zpsagn1wlfa.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss208/BigRix/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/DCEFECD5-01B9-4620-8DE0-19D994755030_zpsagn1wlfa.jpg</a> <a href="http://s576.photobucket.com/user/BigRix/media/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/63F565EF-5779-4787-A469-8189A5EDE6A1_zpsyjxvyqac.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss208/BigRix/Leader%20Dynamics%20Pistol/63F565EF-5779-4787-A469-8189A5EDE6A1_zpsyjxvyqac.jpg</a> Looks like G36 to me. The Pakistani clones are much cheaper than real HK parts and not bad from what I understand. |
