Omaha's Surplus in Fort Worth has 106mm recoilless rifle ammo crates that could be used as rifle display boxes, $19.95. They are shown holding what is prolly a rubber duck on their website.
Described as "rocket boxes" but the stencil reads HEP and for M40 rifle. I used to know something about those critters and they don't launch rockets. Omaha's If you look around on their website you will find lots of interesting old stuff.

I have 4 of them and use them to store gun cleaning supplies, spare parts, gunsmithing tools, etc. They are very handy to have around, I just gave one to my sister's son because he was always eyeballing them and asking if I ever blew anyone up. LOL. I told him I'd blow him up next if he kept going in my gun room. Eventually I gave the little bugger one, more so to piss off his mother than anything, but he loves it.
ETA - I can't believe they are 20.00 each! I paid that much for 5 in 2000-2001. |
