| I really don't hear much about the 733 here, and it's not mentioned on retroblackrifle. Is it not considered a retro carbine? It has an A1 type upper with a Brunton bump case deflector and that $69 DPMS upper on CDNN is a dead ringer for it. Very similar to the 639 with the addition of the bump. This is the rifle Deniro and Val Kilmer used in that crazy shootout in "Heat". I think 733's were semi and 3 round burst only. I have an registered SBR lower and was thinking this would be a cool variant to have, mainly because I really like that movie. |
Yup, the RO733 is an M16A2 Carbine variant, only, grudgingly by some, allowed in Retro because they're that cool, and some have A1-style field sights.
By definition, the RO733 was actually S-1-F, not burst. The RO735 should be the S-1-3 variant. Keep in mind, though, that many Colt commercial/export M16A2s were marked "SAFE, SEMI, BURST" even if they had automatic FCGs installed from the factory. ~Augee |
