Hi, been gathering parts for a 653 Build with some parts kits that have been offered.
The best looking upper receiver is a Sarco "dark grey" (almost looks black in pic) however it only has an H Forge Code? Looks like there may be a C in the shadows....?

Anything special about this upper? I have two other uppers, both have scratches and dings, one RTI "dark grey" & one SG "black" with C H Forge codes.
At this time, I was only going to build one rifle as I already have two correct all Colt 603's (early & late) except w/NoDak lowers, been drooling over all your carbines I see being built here, so hence the start of this 653 build.
With the help of HKKILLER, I now have a 2 position tube & Colt barrel, still need the proper handguards & buttstock.
So, If you have any input on this upper let me know. I may return 1 or 2 of these kits for credit and have to make a decision shortly.

The C is there but very light. Can see it in your blown up pic, but probably not in person.

I've never seen an upper with just the "H", but it does have the "C" in a square proof so I'd be happy to go with it.

i have one like that too. my guess is bad casting or die was wearing out.

To me, there appears to be a very faint Colt proof mark ("C" in a box) forward of the port door.

You can see the triangle too if you make it big.
Nothing to be ashamed about with that upper! Rock it and enjoy!

Thanks for all the reply's, very well may use this on for this build as it won't hurt the function, just a conversation piece.
