My barrel has a 9/96 date code and when I used a cleaning rod method to check the barrel twist rate, it turned out to be 1/7 twist. It makes sense because my barrel has the M4 extension instead of rifle extension. I don't regret buying the barrel, but if you're a purist, you want the 1x12 twist. BTW, my best group at 100 yds using Federal XM193 is about 1.5". Can't complain about that kind of accuracy using 55 grs load in a 1/7 twist barrel. |
