Good afternoon, all.
is the Colt R6400 model a rare one ? I found one in Italy. It has SP30422XX serial number, no forward assist and no brass deflector upper receiver. It has barrel marked C MP Nato 5.56 1/7 Any information about this model is appreciated. Thank you. Salu2 a to2 Bizio |

the sporter line wasn't really that rare. the SP1 line evolved to the sporter line. they aren't really hard to find. i think there may be less of them than the SP1s just due to the 20+ years the SP1s were made.
it may be a R6500 according to the link below. without the box, it's hard to say what model it was sold as. here's some details around the different colt offerings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_AR15_Variants |

Thank you for your link and the info provided, boywonder777.
I had phoned to Colt Customer Service and a kind lady answering told me that in their records it is registered as a R6400 model, dated approximatly 1984. She was not able to give any further info. Salu2 a to2 Bizio |

What are the gun laws like in Italy? We can own almost everything we like but not Full Auto firearms and 9 mm Luger guns which are reserved to the Army. Gun laws are becoming slowly more restrictive but I think this is a process involving all over the world. Salu2 a to2 Bizio |
