[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Prototype Bipod

Just out of curiosity has anyone attempted to modify a bipod to fit the prototype bipod mount?
I'm going to give it a go, just asking if anyone has any advice/instructions/pictures........

Well I've been attempting to reproduce an early bi pod, but it looks like there is just not enough material in the bi pod to make it happen.
This is as close as I have gotten, if someone has suggestions, I'd welcome them.
The 2 critical shortcomings are the stance is to narrow for the feet, and the top of the bi pod
will not close enough to allow cutting of the slots in the top.
Both are related to how much metal there is to remove to make these things happen.
Anyhow here are pictures of progress so far.......
