Hey guys I was given a SP1 lower by my uncle a while back and I'm just getting around to starting another build. My question is are these rare and would I be better off saving it for something else and using a psa or other brand lower? I'm going to use this rifle for coyote hunting and it'll probably get banged around pretty good.

Welcome!  As to rare, no, but not often seen as a stripped lower receiver.  If you are building a retro AR, it is a great lower.  If not, sell it for enough to build most of your coyote rifle.  Folks in states that require pre-ban lowers would love it.

This, someone out there will really like and appreciate it more. I bought an SP1 lower recently just because I wanted to make my SP1 carbine clone (in my avatar) a real SP1

SP1 lowers arent the easiest to build AR's around because of the front pivot pin size anyway.
