| Im looking for a mag that is period correct from the mid sixties for a transitional 604ish build i completed. I have a few of the NDS waffles, but having problem finding the followers and springs. Any ideas? I went to the usual places already. So, i came across some Universal Industries mags that look pretty good in the pics, but thinking they are a bit too late to go with this build. Any ideas? Surely, as hard as it was to come across an edgwater buffer, then a simple magazine wouldn't be as difficult. Lol |

I think waffles would be a bit early for what you're looking for. Mid-60s rifles would have shipped with a standard 20-rounder. I'd probably look for a Colt floor-plate marked .223.
Shouldn't be too hard to find and will cost you even less than the reproduction waffles. |

Lol Universal Industries (UI) magazines were made by OKAY and made most of the magazines for Colt's. Check out Biggerhammer's Magazine Reference webpage. Lots of good info. I had better luck with plastic 20 round followers than aluminum in my NDS waffles, the aluminum would bind up. I cut 30 round springs to the same length as 20 round springs.
