The AI factory made cleaning tools for the AR10. The gas tube brush and chamber brush are shown below.
I have been told the gas tube brush did not catch on. I recently was able to buy a couple of bundles of NOS chamber brushes and I noticed one of the bundles had a tag on it with some Portuguese writing. Can anyone (Armeiro?) figure out what is written on that tag? Closeup of the tag

Just one thing i dont understand, with the numbers of collectors of the original Ar-10 rifles ,U.S. and Dutch, models and with the known pices that exist as prototypes, made for it (the Dutch made rear operated charging handle as the one later used on the AR-15),why doesn someone start a business with this, making replacement parts for existing rifles and making new rifles (replicas) and even replicas of the working porototypes?
There are existing rifles that can be copied, existing technical drawings, and so on,cant this be turnd in to a small business,in the U.S.? The material exists but... |

It only says AR-10 cleaning brush, that is it,and 150 units. do you want me to translate the all tag? i can translate the all tag with the machine typing and hand righting. armeiro: Please translate the whole tag. There are not that many people interested enough in early AR10's to lay out $3-5K for a used rifle. Moreover, there are probably just an handful of folks that might pay $5-8K for a very nice example, original or reproduction. The international market is not of much help due to the difficulty a small US manufacturer might have with export. At this time there are plenty of old AR10's - they are merely stuck in parts of the globe where they are under-appreciated. Generally, these rifles can be imported to the USA as parts sets, minus the barrel and lower receiver. With Carbinekid's modern barrel retrofit the whole issue of barrels might easily be solved with modern replacements. |
