Deeply felt condolences, old son--and to Blondie, too.
Good dogs give us more than we could ever hope to repay, and anyone who's felt that understands how hard it is to lose a loyal friend. If there's such a place as heaven, I'm sure our dogs will all be waiting there for us. Not because we've earned it, but because they have. |

Robert and Blondie, my deepest condolences. Rex (Bingo) sure added a little flavor to your outstanding builds and photos. I'll throw a little humor to smooth the moment.
Remember the post where someone asked what kind of cat the little dog was? Hope your shoulder is healing up! |

The "cat" was my miniature schnauzer, Morgen. Lost her exactly 11 months ago yesterday. By the time the photo you saw of her was taken, she had been diabetic for several months and wasn't doing too well. I miss her every day. Was hard to lose Rex yesterday. |

My lab had had a seizure one day on a walk, vet said she was diabetic. 5 days later she was blind. We did insulin and some other mess And she got along great blind. But there was the one time I accidentally Walked her into a fire hydrant ! |

Thanks everyone for your condolences and sympathies. And for the stories about your furry loved ones. When 'my' friends would call, the first thing they would ask was ' How is Taj'? Not how I'm doing. how she was doing. It's been a year and am still having trouble with getting another dog, due to being logical about a future work schedule. Next dog might be a Jack Russell who will possibly be a better long range travel companion? I really miss having a dog, but am very fortunate to be staying with a friend with two great canines. They show us the best and worst of us. Not sure how to say it better than that. |

While not tech related, I understand the sense of community you guys have here, so I'm going to leave this thread. Sorry to hear about the loss OP. Well played, Sir. Now as to the critters that owned Blondie and Riggs, I have never understood whether dogs' lives are too short, or ours are too long....... |

Most days I'd definitely say theirs are too short. One of my favorite "dog sayings", not sure who said it, is "Dogs are not our whole lives, but without them our lives would not be whole." |
