Would you know how much interest there would be in Vietnam era M16 parts.  Specifically, handguards (triangle) and fixed butt stocks.  I know, it would be based on condition. I dont have pic's at the moment to show but these are well used.   Just a rough idea if you have one. If there is really no value to them thats fine too, just curious.  These are not mine, just researching.   Thanks for your help

interest-wise, there is plenty, and you are correct......condition is everything. Prices vary widely........for example.......in a couple weeks at Knob Creek machine gun shoot, I'll probably be able to find decent type "D" stocks for 15-20 bucks. Handguards can be had for about 35 dollars "unissued". The thing about the avail. unissued handguards is that they are rather "plain". They are matte black. The older ones will be shiney and possibly mottled, making them more desirable to some of us. Used ones can be had for 10 bucks a set. Really nice ones, used, can also bring 60 dollars a set.
So, you've got it figured out to some degree........condition is everything. Even damaged furniture can be usefull to some. Damaged stocks can be cut down for 607 stocks and the same with handguards.

We have a thread dedicated to these types of questions here http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_123/523435_OFFICIAL_APPRAISAL_THREAD_REQUESTS_FOR_APPRAISALS_ONLY_IN_THIS_THREAD.html

That having been said, as you said, it depends on condition. Also, there's different versions of the furniture that will vary the worth dramatically. Stocks, for instance, can be as little as ten to twenty dollars a piece to two or three hundred a piece.  There are type A through E.  A, B and C are worth more than D and E stocks.   Best to use that thread I linked, brush up on the different variations with the info available in this forum, and post pictures if you can.
