| They look pretty good. Usually $10 ea here so I'd say score! I bought two 1st gen M-67 for three 30rd mags for $15ea recently. Probably too much but I see way more of the 20 rds than the early dated 30's and condition looked similar to yours, writing/stamping inside and out was very clear though. Think it depends on where one is located. I buy the 2nd gen 30 rd M-67's for $1 ea just to get the alice clips. Surplus has gone up from the wholesalers in last 6 months considerably 25-30% I'm told so I'd say grab what you can when you can if it's something you may want, even later. I'm kinda mag pouched out but still buy them sometimes. I would have bought those just because they are in great shape. Got way more pouches than 20 rd mags and kinda just get the 30's now days for my 30 rd mags. They would probably go over great on PIF without breaking the bank. |

Those are 20rd M16 mag pouches. They were transitional from the M-1956 era into the LC-1 era of the 1970's. They still had the same hand grenade carrier design from the M14 mag pouches from the M-1956 gear, which was the best hand grenade carrier system of all the US gear to-date, in my opinion. You could carry an M67 frag, M18 Smoke, and other spoon-equipped hand grenades with that sleeve and tab fastener system, that was easy to grab quickly without having to open a pouch, but was still secure enough to load & unload vehicles, was easy to rig for airborne operations, but the Army fixed it with the 30rd M16 mag pouches.
In 2002, I modified most of my MOLLE double M4 mag pouches with the M14 style grenade sleeve and a fuse retainer, using modern materials. |

Oh I'm calling it a score alright! $5 each around here just don't happen very often! And I have a lot of 20s that need some place to call home http://imageshack.us/a/img41/5362/p1100418m.jpg Quoted:
RRiggs, plastic or metal latches? They are plastic latches. Quoted:

just curious - what are they really worth? I've got about half a dozen of them and thought they were about worthless - clue me in. I have seen them as cheap as $2 each. I wish they were that cheap around here! When and if you do find them they are asking $20 - $30 each for them! Quoted:

The pouches being referred to as "2nd gen M67" pouches belong to the LC1 family of equipment
Thanks for correcting. I just always called them early and late M-1967 30 rd pouches. I actually just use a belt with five pouches (15 mags) on it loaded that I sometimes throw over my shoulder and take plinking / shooting. Kinda switched to a 7 pocket bandolier lately as it fits nicely in my shooting bag. Think my days of shooting 450-500 rds at one time are quickly getting behind me due to expense. |

Did find these beauties buried on a table. Was almost afraid to ask the guy how much since the were not priced. Not sure he knew what they are since I got the for $5 apiece http://imageshack.us/a/img826/9923/a195e8efca206f5b14da8b4.jpg Excellent score. I like the magazine pouches. I feel you did very good. |

Riggs,
I don't believe you have enough pouches for that 20 rd mag collection. They aren't $5 ea but Charleyssurplus sells 20 rd 4 mag pouches SKU: CA434 that I believe he has mis-labeled as M-72 pouches for $14.95ea (condition?) . Look the same to me anyway. They have some neat stuff from time to time. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Have always been very pleasant to deal with IMO. Do have a $30 minimum but how can one spend less than $30. Better than the $20-30 you said the surplus pouches bring in that neck of the woods (prairie). |

Going to the gunshows I could always find them cheap, even as low as $2 ea for used ones. I probably have 30 of them. I use them to store some of my magazines. I haven't priced any lately because I have no need for any more. |

| Betwixt the two of ya'll I'd say the AR mag thing is covered. I remember the first Obama curse and bought quite a few back then myself. For 20's I buy NHMTG when I can afford to spend that much on a mag. For Armageddon I'll probably use 30's until I can pick up someone's better stuff. RPG's come to mind and I'm wanting one of them there drone planes kinda bad. |
