| how do I tell when my lower and upper were manufactured? I had the gun made from a friend of mine right around 1990 but i wanted to know if there was a way for me to find out what it's actual date was. |

Or you can call Colt (look at their website for #) & they will tell you the year of manufacture when you give them your serial #. |

Sorry, I will have to get the Serial number in a few. The guns at my dads, been there for 22-23 years (I move around a lot, didn't want to take my guns with me). But I finally moved to a stable location so I am going to go pick them up, I just thought there might be an easy way to tell once he gets me the serial numbers from the guns (putting them in the trust I am creating for my suppressor).

It's a Colt Lower and Upper on an AR that a friend put together for me (he built the gun for me, from different manufacturers parts). The SN is CMH021964 for the lower. fwiw all CMH serials are postban (post 1994) Ah bummer, Thanks for the info. I thought it might be, I just couldn't remember when he got it.
