| Looking to build up a modern version of a retro type upper. Looking to purchase some of the main parts (barrel, upper, etc), and send it off to someone to do the final assembly. Anyone here have a good rep of building quality rifles? Not looking for ADCO, but more like a local board member with some gunsmithing experience and a good rep. While I'm on it, does anyone know of a good source to find a non F .625 FSB? |

Id put an upper together for you and have got whatever parts you need, like the sight base. If you want me to get creative for you Ive got a few cool retro themed upper ideas.
Sometimes I just like to see an idea come to life. Keeping the finished product isnt so important. |
| Also plus one for Jhud. Not a big task you're looking to accomplish. Many in retroland enjoy this type of project so you could also check the Hometown section above and find the member closest to you willing to help. J&T/Doublestar, a site vendor has new .625 FSB. Used .625 can be picked up on EE or GB quite regularly. Being a modern parts retro you will want the FSB installed on the barrel correctly for maximum shooting performance. The rest is a cake walk. Pretty sure Jhud has the FSB also. Good luck with your build. |
