For most intents and purposes, we think of the 600 series as "Retro", with some bleed over into the 700's (723, 733, C7) being transitional between Retro and Modern. Modern rifles/carbines are in the 900 series now (was there a 800 series?). Which brings me to my question: did the prototype versions have a model designation? 500 series maybe? I've never seen mention of it on here, but it may have been hashed out in one of the BR books (which I suprisingly do not own).
What brought this up is that the spreadsheet I have that lists the parts/prices for each of my builds is designated by model number if the rifle/carbine is a clone of a military version. Right now, my work-in-progress prototype is simple listed as "32" for NDS-32. |
