Where is the best place to buy NOS Retro slings? I just got one from Brownells and feel like sending it back to them. Its so thin the clasps dont work (wont hold tension) and its nylon .
Found some on ebay for $13.95 he has 8 left if anyone needs one here is the link . Got a surplus outlet close to home. $13.95 seems high unless seatbelt type or it includes shipping. Think Armalite has USGI slings for $10ish nylon. Charleyssurplus has new caged M-1 garand's for $9.20 but has $30 minimum. They also have some other pretty cool stuff including govt re-pack A-1 type E stocks.
For handguards I'd contact team members Boywonder or Jhud. Should have adds on EE which is a good place to look. If not shiney enough they usually polish up pretty well with a little compound and elbow grease. |
