Thank you in advance you're asking about the forward assist notches on the sp1 bolt and why they are there right? the sp1 is a slickside and it the notches aren't needed. many of the early sp1 bolt carriers did not have the notches but the later ones do. it was done to make production easier instead of making 2 different models. |
