A while ago I had John Thomas anodize an 80% lower prior to my machining it out. It was a kind of a retro grey with the very light touch of purple in certain light. I machined it out and never got around to doing a Norrells finish to the raw internal machined area.

Tonight I was bored (actually two sick women in the house and I needed to escape to my shop)  stripped it down and taped it off to spray the Norrells.

Sprayed it, and set it in the oven for the one hour bake at 300. I just took it out and to my surprise the outside anodized finish is now a very retro looking purple! I am tickled pink (purple?) at the new look. Oil just makes it look better! Not sure what happened, but I could not be happier.

I'm sure there are a lot of purple-tint A1 Bushy uppers floating around that you can track down to match the lower
