| How many of you guys remember rat patrol? When you were 9 to 11 years old that was the greatest show on TV. Lets hear your thoughts on the show. |

I have the entire series on DVD as well and it's available from Netflix too...don't know about streaming though. I remember the show as being much cooler than it really was. ![]() Same here. I jumped at the chance to buy all 3 seasons. Seasons 2 and 3 ate still unopened after all these months. It just didn't hold up to time very well. |

It wasn't the same when Dietrich showed up as Victor Newman on Young and the Restless. I always wanted to try the opening scene where the jeep jumped the sand dune with Dad's '63 Rambler, but he wouldn't try it. Then I got my license. You know that's what ended the show right? One of those jeep jumps turned into a mishap in filming. Couple of the main actors were killed/ permanently injured. All four of them were in a single vehicle IIRC. |

I loved that show, and just finished watching it all again from the DVD's I got from Walmart for $10 a season. Always wanted a RP replica jeep, but WWII jeeps are out of sight now days... I got a 1946 CJ2A restoration that I don't think I'll ever get around to finishing................. |

I remember watching it on cable when I was a kid. Tbs I think. This was back when the "remote" had a cable! It was a cool show. TV Remotes had a cable? I thought I was the remote? "Junior, change the channel. Junior, the volume. Junior, a coke" I grew up, bought my own tv, and i cant find the coke button on my remote. *dislike* |
| First run all those years ago, you had to wait a week until the next episode. That and the commercial breaks helped build the excitement. Now, when I sit and watch 3 or 4 episodes in one sitting, I don't become 12 years old again. We also expect gorier special effects and more realistic portrayals of injuries and deaths. Sigh. |

What's wrong with this 1967 Marx Rat Patrol set ?

It IS on Netflix on-demand.
I've watched several episode with my 12 year old. Too bad it scares my 5 year old daughter (explosions and shooting) or else we'd get to watch it more often. She doesn't mind when we shoot firearm, her included, but when people get shot and they scream and there's fire and explosions she doesn't like it. you know you gotta turn up the volume! |

My sentiments exactly
Now are they 602's or 604's ? Banshee.....If you can find one with the M16's, it may be more valuable because of the goof. |

Rat Patrol was my older brother's favorite show. I'm thinking late 60's possibly early 70's. All we had was one black and white family (dad's) TV set but all three kids were allowed one definate show a week and Rat Patrol was his. One whole show a week. Wow! Sad I don't remember my show ( probably Andy Griffith or The Big Velley). Beverly Hillbillies was better than Hee Haw. Have Gun was cool and then there were the classic Saturday cartoons and wrestling. Rick Flair was like in his late 20's and somebody else (Buddy?) was the Nature Boy.
Don't know if it's still at my parents house but my brother had a Rat Patrol box set that had two minature jeeps with machine guns, two or three minature tanks at least one Panzer and one Tiger tank, I remember they had German markings on them and possibly some toy soldiers. Will have to ask him at Easter. Rat Patrol! WOW! One of my favorite war shows was "Combat" with Vic Morrow possibly pre-retro. Think I'll listen to some acoustic guitar Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page). |

| I barely remember the show. In fact, really all I remember is the jeeps racing across the desert and the Title popping up on the screen. I was probably 5 or 6, late '70s. I also remember watching Combat with my dad and Grandpa. They would trade highly censored war stories with each other when I was in the room watching. (Dad a Marine Nam vet, Grandpa WWII Army Europe vet) |
