I have not had any engraved, but I think most everyone here recommends & has theirs done by Ident Markings.

+1 As soon as I can get an A1 lower from Nodak () I plan on sending it in for multiple engravings, including SBR work. Guess while I'm waiting for Nodak to get lowers back in stock I'll get a trust set up.

Morg - You may as well set up a trust. I'm building a 601 and I had to take a second mortgage out on my house!

I had three lowers done at IDENT and the work is outstanding. Talk to Jason.

Haven't done a 601 yet, but I just got my Hydramatic 603 80% lower engraved and reprofiled to A1 by braceman. It turned out awesome. Still need to mill the FCG and get her anodized. Here's a few pics of the work.

I'm sure braceman would work with you on a 601, if you want to go the 80% route. His work is outstanding with super fast turn around.

Well, I was planning on the trust anyway, but was hoping NDS would still have black A1's in stock so I could order one today. Dammit. Oh well, maybe I'll luck out with a blem next run. I really need 2 lowers from them - guess I'll wait. By that time maybe I'll have the trust set up. Sorry about the 2nd mortgage - at least you aren't paying rent AND a mortgage like I am. (No, it doesn't involve a woman, but it might as well. )

That looks excellent. The displaced metal around the stampings looks a lot more authentic than engraving does.
