Bought this stock off of Ebay recently. Was suppose to be a Colt but I'm wondering now. http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/SgtRock2/DSC01036b.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/SgtRock2/DSC01032b.jpg There are no markings on the stock body, the diamond pattern on the butt is raised and situated vertically. It had a brass nut I had to dremel off the release, so I'm in the market for replacement plunger assy. now. Any ideas what I ended up with? i hope you didn't buy it from davidr606. i bought it and returned it and it looked like he relisted it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140654795257 i sent him pics compared to my colt with these discrepancies: original stock pattern is a waffle like pattern that's recessed, your stock was a raised diamond pattern original buffer tube has a hole in the back, yours is solid original receiver plate has a notch for staking, yours does not have it original stock has a flat across the top, yours isn't even, looks like whoever machined it took a little too much off one side original support rib on the bottom is thin, yours is wider than the original he said to send it back for a full refund + shipping both ways. he made good on that. but he didn't change his auction and sold it again as a colt. i would send it back to him as a refund or file a dispute with paypal. definitely not a colt. |

Thanks for the link, just bought a set.
And yep, that was me. I'm a little pissed that the guy turned around and sold it to me on a "second chance" offer without updating the description. But what the hay, it looks close enough for the clone I'll build and I'm not sure I'd find real Colt for that price anyway. |
