Have not seen any pics of a piggy back set installed in a rifle here in retroland,so here ya go,installed in my 602.With the obligatory "toes" included.

How sturdy are they? Do they wobble or have any play at the mounting point?

Actually feels pretty sturdy,but need to load them and see how they are then. I wonder if Colt would have produced  rubber dust caps like the M3 grease gun mags to keep the dirt out of the exposed mag if they determined these were a GTG item?.

Well now I've seen two sets.  Nice score.  How hard to duplicate the connect parts if you had to guess?  Think I have the correct mags and some spring steel laying around.  If you ever take them apart how about a few high detailed pics of the small parts please,  please!

Odd, I was just thinking the same thing.  Here's yours truly somewhere in Kuwait during the First Gulf War.



BTW, I know it looks dark out but believe it or not, that picture was taken about 1000 or 1100 in the morning.  Gotta love oil well fires! LOL
