Hello, I need to know if the BHD era carbine rifles were XM gray or black.

I want to build one with the A1.5 upper receiver.

Please help.

thanks

Grey A1 lowers, large-bullseye forward assists, small buffer tube locking ring, Fiberite stocks.

When you get ready I have a source for the large head forward assists OP.

I don't think the large button forward assist is appropriate for the RO727.

I have seen them for early RO723s, but always with the .625 diameter barrel.

The large button FA in that photograph is on an A2.
