Unless you're specifically looking for a vintage AR-10, you'd probably be better off posing your question HERE.
.308 discussion in this forum usually revolves around the Dutch and other prototype AR-10s, and doesn't usually get into detail on the modern .308 AR type rifles. I would throw a suggestion in there but unfortunately my knowledge of .308 AR's ends at knowing they exist. |

The .308 (7.62 nato) round is a bit long for the AR15 mag and magwell, although there have been some interesting things done with some rounds like .300 whisper. Also, in the .308 / 7.62 range is the 7.62 x 39 and really interesting and inexpensive to shoot is the 7.62 x 25. I always thought a 607 (ish) in 7.62 x 25 tokarev would be spiffy. |
