Here is some of John Thomas's latest artwork. By now we are all familiar with his incredible faux brown finish. These are for a 601/607 project. The pictures don't give them the justice they deserve . It's hard to capture the beauty of these.

I started with new old stock triangle guards, set them to Hotdog to cut them down and make a front end cap for them. Then I followed Tex's guide on RBR for the base coats with the primer and Kona brown. Next they were sent to John for the faux 601 brown finish with the worn 601 green look. Wow!! They really came out great. I recommend anyone doing a project like this give John Thomas a try. You'll be glad you did. Full build pics to come.

Thanks to all.

Sorry not enough info above
I got a 601 upper reciever, early charging handle, 601 chrome BCG, 601 NoDak lower, 601 pistol grip and a damaged 601 stock that my65pan made into a 607 type. I'll get some pics of everything.
It's going to look like the one on top in this pic

I'm guessing he's doing a 607 project.

That guy really does some nice work.  A real attribute to retroland.  I'm sure they will look fantastic on your carbine.
