Notice the pic of SN 000001 that TBR says was "destroyed during testing".  p.67

Damn, that's no fun.  He's got nothing left to collect.

I wish I knew the story of how he obtained the early Colt pieces.  I know the story of the Lost Armalites found in FL. and the 2 semi-trailers full he got from Stoner, but did everything come from Stoner, or did he get some from Colt's as well ?

That's not the only error in TBR.
But I think it is pretty accurate for the most part.

IIRC, he traded the production rights to the All American 2000 9mm pistol to Colt for their toolroom prototypes... Wonder who did better on that deal?

Yep, he made out on that trade!

Wow.  I'd say Reed made out better on the deal IMO.

I'd say he made out substantially better on that deal. Where is the All American 9mm now???

I've toured Knight's museum, to say it's impressive doesn't do it justice.

You are a lucky man.

I came across that pictures gallery the other day and was floored. So many great pieces, so much history. Amazing collection.

That collection needs its own book of history.  Just awesome!

I got a quick look before the museum was opened when I was at Reed's place for a Beretta Armorers course. Met Eugene Stoner as well. Great class and meeting Mr. Stoner and seeing Reed's collection was a very memorable affair. (1991)

It's in Titusville, FL. but it is not open to the public - invitation only.

And what you see in the link is only one part of the museum. The building also houses a collection of Revolutionary War muskets and over a dozen mid-1800's Gatling guns. It also includes a tank collection where there's a 203mm self-propelled howitzer, a de-militarized Nike-Hurcules missle, a Soviet T-55 and, a T-32 tank to name a few.
