Shot my retro again the other day. The A1 stock I bought came with a plastic buttplate. Thing keeps slipping off my shoulder. Is there a source for steel buttplates with sharper checkering? Thanks. |

Or, if you're running a type "E" stock with the trapdoor, maybe change over to a type "D". It's solid, with no trapdoor, but it does have a little softer rubber pad and serrations. It's a straight changeout. |

RBP makes a solid aluminum buttplate. I have one on a target rifle; they balance a heavy barrel 20" rifle. Not for pencil barrel carbines. And they are not retro. I think they are called "door knockers" |
