After a recent merger between Colt and TexSquirrel Industries we are obliged to issue the following recalls:
Dimpled Parts: All dimpled parts (selectors, takedown pins, magazine releases, rear sight screws) are dimpled to identify that they're defective parts. They never should have left the factory. We would like to solve this issue as soon as possible as these parts are dangerous to use. If you'll return them we'll send a quality non-dimpled part in return. This is covered under the Colt/TexSquirrel recall program. Handguards Recalled early brown or green handguards are covered under a similar program. You will receive a replacement black plastic handguard set for every returned bakelite set of handguards. PM TexSquirrel for the Colt/TexSquirrel address. Enjoy today. I plan on coming home with a lot of "new" firearms. Can't wait to see my wife's face. |

It has come to our attention after an intensive investigation that this "recall" is in fact true.It is not published with intent to defraud in anyway, shape,or form.It is further noted that said recall does include full postage refund for all items sent to Texsquirrel/Colt Industries. Feel free to contact them as they wish to remedy this situation immediatly. If all lines are busy or IM,email boxes are full, feel free to contact us here at Barry Enterprise as we have a "direct contact" line to the President of Texsquirrel/Colt Industries. We will expidite your "recall" within minutes.. |

i don't know how to take these loathsome items off my rifle. may i send the entire rifle? please? IMPORTANT NOTE,For complete rifles and carbines, these MUST be sent to Barry Enterprises ONLY,there will be NO exceptions. The rifle/carbine will be disassembled, cleared of all "recalled parts" and reassembled by a qualified gunsmith.Thank you. |

Does the recall also include those ugly heavy firing pins, you know the ones with the large head? I was just wandering if they were safe to use. I didnt like how it made my gun heavy so I am using it as a nail set right now. but if I could trade it in for an OK to shoot one. now that would be a service.

Yes, it is not safe to use as a nail set. Send it in. |

UPDATE 4/2/10:
In the process of disassembling several rifles we have received to date,it has come to our attention here at Barry Enterprises that many of you are still using non chrome lined barrels.THESE ARE EXTREMELY UNSAFE to use with modern ammunition. These include all 1/14 twist barrels, vp 1/12 barrels,M vp 1/12 barrels,MP 1/12 barrels as well. These items should be sent immediatly to Barry Enterprises for "proper disposal" and we are in the process of obtaining "in the white, brand new" 1/9 safe, shootable barrels as replacements.Thank you again. |
