Well I am now the proud owner of a genuine Brick Moderator. Whoo! It is a really nice piece of work.

Yep, I got mine last week. It's really nice, it feels a little heavy but, I've never had a real moderator in my grubby little hands so really have no idea if it is heavy compared to the real deal. Now all I need to do is get a grenade ring.

ETA: The lower gun is a .22LR build that I have slowly been working on that is going to eventually be modded into a semi-correct XM177E2 clone using my moderator from Brick.

I sent mine along with the Bushmaster pencil off to ADCO today for the XM177E2 build. It does look nice, great piece of work.

The welds look incredible.  Are they as nice as they appear in the pics?

Absolutely, I received mine last Wednesday.

Yes, the welds look as close to perfect as any welds I've ever seen. I can't caulk a window and have as nice of pattern as these welds are.

Thanks fellas.  I've been wanting to get one ever since the pics were posted here.  They do look great.

Did you tell ADCO the exact length or just simply something like "cut it and pin it so the overall length is 16"?

I'm going to do the same as soon as I can get another pencil barrel.  I'm going to smooth up the FSB myself before it all goes to ADCO unless they can do it then repark everything after the modifications.

I can tell you that the Brick moderator is TOP NOTCH stuff and the weld just really kicks it off nicely.

Agreed.  Top notch product and service.  Quick delivery and he even sent me a few bucks back because he felt I overpaid him.  Glad I got one on the first go around even though I hadn't really planned on doing another barrel.

I advised it was a non NFA and to measure the moderator and insure the barrel is cut and to have 16.1" oal after everything is done. Brick did give me the specs, etc but I elected to have them re measure everything that way there's no errors with me re typing numbers.

I used Jerrell's(Heatnbeat) parts on the upper/lower and they are sitting there all lonely waiting on the guest!

I'll get pics up when it gets back and it's all together. Down the road is a 723, then that's it for a bit.

Just food for thought ... if ordering a Bushmaster superlite barrel.  Couldn't one just order it "without" the lug?  Thus saving a step in the process ... hmmm.

[#15]
Yes.  Depends on what they have in stock at the time and how quick you want it.  Cutting one off isn't that much work if you are smoothing out the flashing (whatever it's called) and having it re-parked anyway.  If you are not smoothing it out and having it re-parked then ordering without the bayo lug would be better.

That's what I did, no lug-however, the muzzle as plain as well. Not a big deal since I was cutting it. Just double chck that part if you want it threaded.
