So I'm walking arond the local show yesterday looking for all manner of retro stuff when i com upon a complete A1 upper. Now I know I need this so I commenced to check it out. Gray Colt upper with CM forge codes, can't make out the proofs. Barrel is a C MP Chrome Bore marked unit with a 3 prong FH. It had a semi auto BCG, dark slip ring and nice triangle hand guards. Jackpot I say to myself. All is well you say? Not so my friend 'for the little hang tag containing the price info read $600.00. I looked again to make sure I was not seeing things but again it read $600.00! The barrel was the only part I really needed so I passed.

Oh, there's evidence of that here in Louisiana. They wanted $475 for a complete Rock River lower with a collapsible stock and standard trigger group at my FFL. Oh, and $198 for a stripped Rock River lower. |

Another guy, at the same show, had 5 or 6 A1 buttstocks laying on his table. Fairly sad looking lot too, well used. Only one had a buffer tube and it was priced at $30. The others were $20. So I said to the man "will you sell me just the tube"? He responded with a yes but it would be $30 dollars.
Another guy who apparently new how to have fun had 3 20 rd Colt mags in a pouch. the tag said pouch $60.00 mags free!  On a sweeter note I did get to fondle a nice SP1 and a Sporter HBAR. No price though dude din't appear like he was in too much of a hurry to part with them.

That's just like the $2200 Colt Match Target A4 that someone bought from a gun shop in my hometown before the election Even the guy behind the counter who handed me the rifle said it was way overpriced.
