Question on the C7 style upper receivers. When and which models of military issue weapons were they used. I see the the 723 and 733 carbine models had these uppers, but I did not see any of the full size M16's listed with them. Are the carbines the only issued models that had the A1 upper with F/A and deflector?
Thanks in advance. |

My bad, should have seen that crackedcornish. Thanks Tex, so a 603 with a C7 upper is possible. |

I had that exact setup until I switched the upper receiver with a flat top and made it a modern M4 tacticool rig. I hope to use that rig in an upcoming NRA patrol rifle instructor course. I am debating on that, I actually have 1982 Colt SP1 carbine issued to me (only one in the inventory), and was thinking of going to do the K.I.S.S. route for the course.
So I have the C7 upper that I was going to build a Somalia setup. I was thinking between the M4, the Bushmaster 11.5 with the 5.5 flash suppressor, or a A1 carbine pencil barrel. I asked about the C7 because I have a A1 furniture set coming in and contemplated that route. I will wait and save up for some Nodak products. Quoted:
I built one of these with mine http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/Ekie12091941/Govt%20Carbines/variation%20guide/upperassy11.jpg gave me an excuse to have an easily acquired M4 barrel |
