[ARCHIVED THREAD] - SP1 Sling Question

I have seen a 1965 manufactured Colt SP1 with the black Colt sling that was made without the sling hook. Does anyone know how long Colt shipped the SP1 rifles with this type of sling? Also, what type of sling replaced these Colt slings?

AFAIK, it was the first year production or so. I believe the "silent sling" was the only other sling shipped with the SP1s after that.
