Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find any resource on it. I am trying to find out all of the factory variations for transitional BCGs, both slick side and notched. I don't need details like wide band, narrow band, etc. Here is what I know:

slick side
bolt carrier, gas key, bolt, extractor
chrome, chrome, chrome, chrome
parked, chrome, parked, parked
parked, parked, parked, parked

notched
bolt carrier, gas key, bolt, extractor
chrome, parked, chrome, parked (factory?)
parked, parked, parked, parked

Let me know what others there are or if you have a reference.
Thanks,
Dustin

I don't think there were ever any parkerized slickside M16 carriers.

I've got one in one of my 604's, and there was one on both the EE and GB in the last few days.  Granted, they have a chromed gas key, but I've also seen them with parked gas keys.

The parked slick sides are transitional - both mine have chromed keys.

YMMV
