So, I've noticed that the A1 buttstock on my 604 has quite a bit of side to side wiggle to it (rotational plane) - which is driving me crazy. I am guessing that the alignment pin is a little undersized or something - I haven't pulled it yet and tried another stock, but since this is the stock I recently camo'ed, changing it is not an option - until I get tired of the camo and decide to go back to black that is.

I know I've heard of this before, but I'd like to hear fixes. I was thinking of putting a little silicone on that alignment pin and retightening it, then letting it harden. Anyone have a better idea?

I'd try pulling the stock and stuffing a wad of paper towel into the hole, just enough to tighten things up when you cinch down the screw. If it ain't enough, add more til it is.

try foil tape that a/c guys use.  it'll stick and add a little thickness without any permanent alterations.

I've seen a guy take a small O-ring and stretch it around the nub.

I really like to "O" ring idea.. The foil tape would most lilely work and I'm NOT knocking the idea,,but foil tape can be a real bitch to remove if left on for a period of time. That;s been my experience in the construction field anyway..
