"Top extension is from the Model 604. Middle is the M16A1 and the bottom is the M16A2." from http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 |

I recognize that pic! ![]() Also if you follow the link and notice a later pic the pictured 604 tube has 1/2" wrench flats while the later M16A1 and M16A2 use a 5/8" wrench. |

There's a guy selling some early tubes on the EE. I picked one up from him a week or two ago. Hang on I'll try and find his add..........
ETA: O.K. his user name is tal35. Just do a search for "buffer tubes" or search by his user name. I got a really nice tube from him but the ones he has left are a little more "used". I'm sure you could clean it up though. |

Engineer5 Thanks for the reply. The tubes he had are to early for my build or I'm not looking in the right place ? He just has the one ad. I thought those would be correct for an "early" 604 build. I'm new to the retro scene and am tying to figure it all out myself. |
