Who sells 20" lightweight barrels?

Other than new old stock barrels which are still out there I think CMMG is the only one who makes a true A1 barrel.

I think the Sarco barrels are pretty much true as well, but I've never had one.

Sarco aren't chrome lined, but other than taht they are pretty much accurate to the original M16 20" lightweight barrels, and for $150 you can't go wrong.

I keep hearing about the Sarco barrels, and I keep meaning to order one... but I'm still unsure that they're willing to sell AR parts.

Sarco rep laughed at me right after newyears when I called and asked about buying some LW 16 barrels. "Barrels only go with kits". Couldn't get a price on a kit though.

Yeah they stopped listing the 16 and 20" barrels in their ads. Too bad, I have a 20" and it was a good buy.

Hah!  I ordered 2 kits in Nov and they came without barrels.  The barrels have been backordered since then and still have not arrived.

I called Sarco yesterday,  No barrels in stock and they couldn't give me a definite date when they would get any more.  Also, they couldn't confim that the new ones would be A1 pencil barrels.

Too bad.  Of course, ordering something from Sarco is always a crapshoot...

I have one of their 16" lighweight barrels on backorder from early November.  I don't have any expectationis to ever receive it, but no reason to cancel it either.

try the EE or Marcolmar if you want a 604

What is this?

I bought a M16A1 upper from Gunnys, and I sold off the parts other than the barrel. Net cost for the barrel came to about $150 (it's a SAK barrel that looks new/near new).

Are the CMMG barrels considered good to go or...?

I ordered one of the 20" kit in nov. and got everything except the bolt carrier and receiver extension, which are still on backorder.

I also wanted one of their 16" barrels, but was told they were only selling barrels with the kits, but that they were still out of stock for the carbine kits.

Yep, both of my kits were the 16" barrels.  I am now thinking of calling them to switch to 20" since there is probably a better chance for me to get them.  Still need the bolts though.  I don't really expect to see anything from Sarco for at least another couple of months.  Oh well......
