Has anyone gotten the Dri-lube option Victor offers when having your receiver re-anodized? Worth it?

He did it on an upper for me as a comp freebie. I'm not sure I'd pay for it as I really can't tell what difference it makes.

But I certainly appreciate his doing it!

I have mine done - just for the heck of it since it's part of the mil-spec, if I am not mistaken.  I spend so much money on these things anyway - what's a few more bucks.

So the question is: How was the tolerances after refinishing the reciever? Was it loose?

I have him apply it to my uppers ($20).  They refer to it as Dry Film Lubricant, of DFL.

Original uppers have mil spec Solid Film Lubricant applied to them.  BTW, Acetone (or MEK) will remove this coating, so be carful when preping for Moly Resin or the like.
