Hey all,

I know the a2 has the elavation on the rear as well as windage, what kind of set backs are on the a1 sights besides no elavation? also what apperture do you think is better a1 or a2, when I look through the a1 I really cant tell a difference between the L and close range .

I believe the A1 L aperture is a tad higher than the unmarked aperture, thus raising the outgoing round's elevation.  Although a lot of shooters prefer the A2 sights for precision shooting, I personally prefer the A1 sights.  The A1 sights are robust, not easily shifted by the clumsy-fingered or stray equipment, and get the job done of putting lead on target at engagement ranges.  (Just the qualities I prefer in a SHTF rifle as well.)   YMMV, of course.

I did not know the L sight was taller. Can you swap the a2 sights ? And if yes is there a certain way to sight in ?

I have A2 aperatures on most of my A1's, no problem.  I prefer the A1 setup.
