Where can I find the external pieces or even better a retro "looking" parts kit to build a lower.

I just don't want black switches and levers on my mil-gray lower from NoDak

Naval Jelly trick.  There are quite a few threads here covering it - a recent one titled Naval Jelly Trick is the bomb should be in the first two pages.  Coat the steel parts in naval jelly for 30-45 seconds, wash off, oil.  Repeat if necessary.  works very well.  I found rinsing in the hottest water you can get helps dry the parts and then oil immediately.

ETA:  you'll still need a no-tic selector

By "no-tic" selector he means a selector w/o the notch on the right side. The right side is just flat.

ETA: I guess I did not answer the question. All the A1 rifles/carbines did not have a safe or fire marked on the right side, so the right side of the selector was flat. When the A2s come out the had the words safe & fire on the right side, so on the selector there was a notch cut into the right side so the operator could tell if his rifle was on safe or fire from either side of the gun.

I'm guessing that the lower parts are new (i.e. black).  I know the barrel is not GI (not chrome lined), comes with A2 upper, etc.  I asked about some of their lower parts - all were new production, black.
