I received a varmint upper from Model 1 on Friday and the muzzle hole does not appear to be perfectly round . It looks almost as if it's octagon. Did they make a bad cut? or is this quality I should expect from them? Has anyone else had this issue and if so did Model 1 work with you to resolve the issue by replacing the upper?

Model 1 will work with you and do whatever it takes to make the situation right!

Not many bores look perfectly round from the end because the rifling comes all the way to the end, and it can give it the appearance of an octagon.  Shoot it a see how it shoots!

I am anxious to test it out however I wanted to wait to speak with Model 1's cust. servc. before I did to ensure that I could return it for a replacement.

As mentioned, this is normal. If it makes you feel better, my RRA NM stainless barrel has the same look and it shoots just fine.

Thank you for the quick feedback. I will test it out this weekend but will call Model 1 just to ensure I can exchange it if there is a problem.
