I have a large hole SP1 upper that I want to marry to a small hole lower. Is there a way to possible to this or am I looking at having to buy another upper.

There is an offset sleeve that fits in the front lug. This will reduce the diameter so you can mate it to the small hole lower. DPMS makes it.
I can't find it on their site, here's a link to Brownells.

Absolutely NOT!

That piece is for matching a large hole LOWER to a small hole UPPER.

The first response is correct. You need a sleeve to insert into the front hole of the upper, to reduce the hole to 1/4 inch. It's a DPMS piece, only costs a few bucks, and properly installed will get the job done.

Hole in  is offset and the piece should be installed w/the thin side of the sleeve
up. Coat the outer side w/ either a good quality cement, Loctite,or whatever, put it into the lower, and make any slight adjustment needed, back and forth, until the upper and lower are properly matched up. Then let the adhesive harden and you're good to go.
