this may not be the right forum for this, but what is Martin Marietta Mfg. ? I was told that the L-M markings on my upper is their forge code. Any idea of dates of manu.? It is an A-1 with FA and no shell deflector. Looks good with my Commando pencil barrel upper.

this info is from a list of AR15 upper forge codes I copied from somewhere, so I can't guarantee the accuracy.

L-M forge code uppers were from a spare parts contract. mid to late 70's production.

just picked up a colt a2
the guy said it was all colt and the lower is colt and the barrei is marked colt but the upper is stamped L M.
did i get took/lied to?

If it has L M on the upper, it's not a Colt. Somebody has some splaining to do........
