I went to the local gun show today with the intention of purchasing some small parts to finish up a 1911A1 build. I ended up leaving with a few more parts though. One excellent condition Colt M16 upper, near perfect gray finish with proofmarks. This will make a great upper for a 614 build. Paid $125 One perfect condition gray Colt rifle length buffer tube. Paid $15 One excellent condition Colt SP1 upper receiver assembly. No bolt group but it had the matching charging handle. Upper was marked CM and the barrel CMP CHROME BORE with a birdcage flash hider on the end. The handguards are mint! The sheen on the upper receiver and charging handle match that of some of my early SP1 lowers with the Colt's Patent Firearms Mfg Co markings. Paid $275 Oh yeah, I also got the 1911A1 parts I came for! Stopped at Milo's on the way home and picked up burgers and pies for the kids. Paid $10.61 Priceless! |
