I just bought an original Colt 609 stock body from eBay.  Unfortunately, it was just the body, not including the tube, spring, etc.  I tried to throw it on the tube from a cheap plastic 4-position stock.  It didn't fit.  The cheap tube mic'ed out at 1.170" and the 609 stock body mic'ed out at 1.150.  The keyhole on the stock was 0.500 and the tube key was 0.4 something, so that was not a problem.

Does anyone know where I can find a tube that will fit the 609 stock without just buying one of each and fit testing them?

Can you post a picture of your stock?  I highly doubt it is a 609 stock.

I'm far from an expert, so I could very well be wrong.  But it looks like a 609 stock to me:

Actually most 609/610 stocks are anodized and don't have the vynil coating.  That is why I questioned you first post.  You seemed to be asking an elementary question for someone who knows what a 609 stock is.

You need to find a 2 position Colt tube.  That would be correct for your stock.  Your best bet is to find one on the EE.

Thanks for the guidance, and no, I'm pretty new at this retro stuff.  I think its pretty cool, though.
