I recently got an A1 upper with no markings at all except for the MP at the FSP.

What do you know about barrels/upper receivers with no markings at all?

Should have a C near 6 o-clock about an inch from the muzzle.  Also check to see if there are stampings in front of the port door.

I've seen a few where the "C" on the barrel is very faint. Same with the proofs on the receiver. I only have one that I can actually make out the VP stamp.

There are no markings on the barrel that I can see, not even faint ones.

On the receiver there is a triangle and below a square with a circle in it.  The marking is above and to the front of the port door.

Sounds like a Colt upper.  Every once in awhile you will find one where they forgot to stamp the muzzle with a C or a 12, stuff happens.

The circle you're seeing is actually a "C". The triangle has a "VP" in it. I only have one with both marks being legible. The others are half struck or very faint.
