I have a A1 buttstock I am wanting to use on a A1 buld....imagine that... Anyways, I am not that familiar with stock replacement so I need help. Will an A2 buffer tube work? If not where do you find an A1 buffer tube? I think I remember hearing they interchange but before I ordered one wanted to make sure. Thanks. |
Yes an A2 buffertube will work but you'll need an A1 stock screw. |

Thanks all. I bought the screw last week on the EE here. I just need a lower now. Was talking to my boss today and he used to be a professional welder and welding inspector. Well his son works at a motorcycle store where they weld alluminum and my boss is welcome to use the equiptment. Soooooo. I'm gonna try a conversion and he has offered to do the welds free. Thanks again |
??????? What kinda weldin' ya gonna do?? |
| Good topic. I have an A1 stock with one screw hole at the top thats going on an SP1 upper and an RRA lower. No trap door and it appears to be a #7 according to the sticky topics. I dont have a short screw, or a long one for that matter. Does that screw tie into the rear of the buffer? Also, does the spacer up at the reciever have to be a particular thickness or will any spacer work? Sorry for the dumb questions but when I built my Commando I had all the parts and it was pretty visual. But I dont have all the parts to this newest one so Im kind of in the dark. |
Huh? Spacer? What spacer? |
