I aquired an early Colt upper from a friend today. He received two of them in a trade and sold me one. Anyway, its a barreled upper without b/c/ch. No forward assist, no deflector, A1 birdcage, triangular handguards. Barrel is marked "C MP Chrome Bore", upper is marked with a C and M. Large front pin hole. Front site is marked with a C. Is there anyway to determine a rough date on this? Is the A1 birdcage correct? Thanks.
