Any word on when this will be released?

Thinking of just picking up a sb-pdw as I'm tired of waiting.

According to their facebook, the earliest it would come out is the end of August.  Since this is the firearm industry, that probably means early November lol.

Please post details on ANY other collapsible/adjustable stock or pistol brace (including buffer tube) for significantly less.

Yea, $200 sounds like a lot compared to $80 for a Shockwave & tube but for what it is I think it's not overpriced. I've paid $140 for an SB brace for an AK pistol.

Just to clarify, the mod 2 is the adjustable model with the 'proprietary' buffer tube. Just buying a carbine tube & stock can easily run $100.

Their facebook page is probably gonna be the best place to keep tabs on this, especially if they do an early order deal.

Ill check into their facebook page.

And $200.00 is not bad. I have the shockwave, and am not overly impressed.

Make it cost the same as a tax stamp with out the wait and people will pay that much for injection molded plastic I guess.

It appears that manufacturers are price fixing because they know they are competing with a buracracy.  Free market...vote with your wallet.

Other adjustable AR pistol braces are the SB PDW for $300 and the Maxim CQB for $375. To me the mod 2 for $200 isn't out of line.

I guess technically my Shockwaves are adjustable too but I don't consider them 'on the fly' adjustable like a std. m4 stock or the above braces adjust.

Based on what they have on their Facebook page, full release is about 4 weeks out right now.

As an alternative, the Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 1 is now back in stock.  Just got a notice from them yesterday.

I'm waiting on these to release before deciding on a new pistol build.  Even the shortened buffer pdw stocks can't beat the stored length of a mod 2 combined with a law folder.  Decisions...

The advantage the PDW style braces have is the firearm is still fully functional with the brace collapsed.  The pistol can still be fired; and more then just once, unlike with the LAW folder.

Ya, definitely some pros and cons to consider.

I did exactly that. Couldn't be happier, or at least, so happy with the sbpdw that I have no desire to experiment further.

Yeah, I like my pdw too, but wouldn't mind picking up a tailhook-2 if they ever do come out.

I have a PDW on one pistol and the Tailhook on another with a folder.
Love that setup
